About

The marketplace for reusable equipment

Repurpose Exchange keeps usable solar and electrical equipment in circulation by connecting buyers and sellers through a managed marketplace built for resale, reuse and responsible recovery.

Our mission

Keep equipment in use. Recycle what can't be reused.

The United States solar industry has installed over 100 gigawatts of capacity in the past decade. As the first wave of those systems reaches end-of-life, and as newer panels go in during upgrades, a substantial amount of functional equipment ends up sitting in warehouses, storage yards and job sites.

Most of that equipment still holds real value — panels, inverters, optimizers and balance-of-system components with years of usable life left. Rather than going straight to waste, it deserves a second market.

Repurpose Exchange is that second market: a platform built for resale and reuse, where sellers recover value from surplus and second-hand equipment and buyers get access to reusable material for their projects.

What we stand for

How we operate

Keep equipment in use

Every panel, inverter or battery that gets a second life is one less unit sent for disposal, and one less raw-material pull on the supply chain.

Complete listing detail

Equipment is listed with photos, pricing, condition grading, quantity and origin, so you can judge a lot before you commit to it.

Built for professionals

EPCs, asset managers, contractors and developers — the platform is built for commercial-scale quantities and the paperwork that comes with them.

A family of companies

Equipment that can’t be resold routes to our sister company, Repurpose Solar, for compliant recycling — so a seller has one route for the whole pallet.

Family of companies

One problem, two solutions

Repurpose Exchange and Repurpose Solar are separate companies that handle the two halves of the same problem.
